experience the truth.

what is the apostolic faith?

what to expect.

Entrance

Because we love receiving visitors (and members alike), we do our best to be excellent hosts. When you enter the front door before the service begins there will usually be someone to greet you and to welcome you. We are honored by your visit and would like to get to know you better and how we can best minister to you and for this reason we will try to be sure to give you a visitor card to fill out. The ushers will then help you find a seat in the sanctuary. Once you have filled out your card, please place it on the offering plate to be returned to us.

Worship

We believe strongly in worship. We have a wonderful music team whose purpose is to lead the congregation in praise and worship. You will often see people lifting their hands, clapping, or even running or dancing. We believe in giving God our all, and worship is one of the primary ways we express this.

Prayer

We believe in prayer. At some point during the worship service, we take time to pray over needs of those in our church family and the needs of others. If you have a special need in your life and would like to receive prayer directly from our pastor and ministry, you are welcome (though certainly not required) to come to the front when invited to do so.

Preaching and Altar Call

We believe in the preaching of God’s Word. After the worship service, the minister is introduced. Those involved in our preaching ministry spend a great deal of time in prayer seeking God’s will for each service and for ways to best minister to those who will hear. At the conclusion of the message, we give an “altar call” in which we invite all those who would like to pray to receive something from God to come to the front of the church around the altars. It is here that God often moves in a beautiful way and lives are changed.

Fellowship

At the conclusion of the service, our members often stay to talk with one another. We view our church as more than a building to come to a few times each week. We are truly a family, and as such, we enjoy spending time together. We often have dinners and other special events after services, during which we spend time talking and enjoying each other’s company. When we do not have a planned activity after the service, however, we frequently visit a restaurant in town to enjoy dinner and fellowship. You are always invited to join us.

how we worship.

There is nothing like a Spirit-filled worship service. Many times we are exuberant in our worship. We express ourselves in singing, dancing, clapping, leaping, shouting, and through the playing of instruments. At other times, we may pray quietly, whispering words of love. These actions are heartfelt as a result of what Christ has done for us and for who He is. It is the joy He gives, through His Spirit in our lives that makes us so ecstatically happy.

We pray together aloud because in the Bible we read, “They lifted up their voice to God with one accord.” – Acts 4:24

We lift our hands in Praise because in the Bible we read, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” – Psalm 134:2

We sing with all our hearts because in the Bible we read, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.” – Psalm 98:4

We play musical instruments because in the Bible we read, “And all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments.” – II Samuel 6:5

We clap and shout unto God because in the Bible we read, “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.”Psalm 47:1

We dance before the Lord because in the Bible we read, “Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.” – Psalm 150:4

We anoint with oil for divine healing because in the Bible we read, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” – James 5:14

what we believe.

We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.

Oneness of God

We believe there is only ONE God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the Creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).

Repentance

We believe in repentance of all our sins, in a complete turning away of our old lives.

Baptism in Jesus Name

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38). Water baptism is an essential part of New Testament salvation and not merely a symbolic ritual. It is part of the new birth experience and entering into the kingdom of God (God’s church, the bride of Christ), and therefore, it is not merely a part of local church membership, but an essential element of salvation.

Infilling of the Holy Ghost

We believe in the necessity of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4). We believe in living separated and consecrated lives to our Savior.

Sharing the gospel

We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy, and compassion.
